The Upgrade Kit

Fits Renault UN1 Gearboxes

Gearbox upgrade kit consists of:

· Strengthened, one piece primary shaft with Renault spline

· New first and second gears with improved ratios; 3.00 and 1.94;  (OEM ratios are 3.36 and 2.05)

· Fifth gear sleeve and thrust washer

· Custom fifth gear synchro hub

· Strengthened, custom bearings, washers, clips

· No case or clutch modifications are required; No machining of OEM parts, No parts exchange required

 

Gearbox vulnerabilities addressed in this design:

· All components produced from premium 9310 racing alloy

· Increased shaft diameter and one-piece design with strengthened 5th gear overhang

· Synchro mating surfaces are CAD designed to OEM specs for smooth shift properties

· Improved gear ratios reduce upshift/downshift strain by easing synchro mating speed demands

Additional components may be required (seals, worn parts, etc.)

This upgrade in not manufactured, endorsed or warranted by Group Lotus PLC or Renault Group
